What is the ASD eGroup?

The primary function of the ASD eGroup is to communicate with our membership about research, meetings, meeting minutes, social events, legislative issues, and calls to action.  As the organization grew, so did this communication effort. In joining the 21st Century, we decided that an eGroup would help us save time, paper and money. Most important, it gets the information out to YOU as soon as we get it.

The eGroup is designed so that only the officers of ASD can send messages out to the group. No other members of the group can post...therefore you will not be receiving 200 replies to one message. The purpose of this group is notification only, not discussion.

To join the eGroup, send your request via email to Cheryl at cheryl.framptondelautism.org.
You will receive an announcement stating that you have been signed up to a group at delautismgooglegroups.com.

If you are currently on the group, but have changed your email...please send an invitation request to Cheryl.  You may have multiple addresses on the group.

Once you are a member of the group, all previous messages sent out can be viewed at the eGroup home page found at: http://groups.google.com/group/delautism.

If you had signed up to the group, but are not receiving any emails, please notify Cheryl.

NEW! ASD On-Line Support eGroup

Join the ASD On-Line Support Group!

This group is for parents, guardians or any family member who has a care-taking role of an individual with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome or PDD-NOS living in the State of Delaware. This will be a place to safely share your experiences and concerns. This group is set on private and only members can read and post to the group.

The email address for the group is: ASDSupportGroup@googlegroups.com. The website for the group is at: http://groups.google.com/group/ASDSupportGroup. You may choose to receive individual emails, a daily summary or participate by going to the group website to read or post.

The group is maintained by two parents. Cheryl Frampton is the group manager and will take care of memberships and technical issues. Kathy Hupp who has a master’s in social work will serve as the moderator for the group. Kathy will be available to help you address your specific needs. If you feel you need more support than the on-line group can provide or feel you need to consult with Kathy privately, you may email her directly with your concerns. You may also contact Kathy about attending one of the live support group meetings.

We ask that you adhere to the following group guidelines to ensure that everyone has a positive and productive experience on this group.

1.)    Venting is healthy and something we all need to do from time to time. Vent away if you must! However, bashing or slandering another member on the group for their choices in therapies, techniques or beliefs will not be allowed. We will warn anyone who violates this policy and remove them after a second incident.

2.)    While sharing information is important, please contact Kathy -  kfhbusy@aol.com or Cheryl – cheryl.frampton@delautism.org before posting an external link to another website. Also, email attachments are not permitted to the group.

3.)   You may have more than one email address on the group. We request that you send us your full name, your child/children’s names, their ages, diagnosis, a daytime phone number and, of course, your email address and your delivery preference. Please send your requests to join to Cheryl.
