Parents: Please speak to your physician about how early intervention has/had helped your child and ask them to consider setting up a presentation. Insurance information as of December: Medicaid does cover the code, based on their own fee schedule Coventry will pay for the developmental screening code 96110 as a stand alone code Aetna “will not cover (code 96110) at all” BC/BS “will not cover (code 96110) under any circumstance” As of August 2006 we have met with Insurance Commissioner Matt Denn and discussed the inclusion of developmental screening coverage for all state employees. We have sent letters to the chief medical officers at Aetna and Blue Cross / Blue Shield requesting that they consider covering 96110 (Developmental Screening). We also sent a letter thanking Coventry and encouraging them to continue covering 96110. We are currently working with Nemours to have a developmental screening tool added into their electronic medical record.
